Rumbolds Retreat

Rumbolds Retreat is a beautifully presented, 16th-century farmhouse with superb features, such as an Aga, slate flooring in the kitchen/dining room, splendid beamwork throughout (some low) and an inglenook fire surround with a wood burner. The living room is attractively co-ordinated with rich colours and wooden flooring with Persian rugs, as well as a TV with Netflix. It is adjacent to stunning manicured grounds with the tranquil lake, pergoda and seating areas.

Amazing house with fantastic amenities – perfect for a girls weekend with 9 of us. Plenty of space, and all the equipment we could need. Lovely outdoor setting and really helpful housekeeper/guest greeter. Would highly recommend!

Rumbolds Retreat has a great old-world atmosphere with really spacious accommodation. Exploring the house was full of exciting surprises. The grounds gave onto woods with interesting walks. The owners are really interesting people and very welcoming. They breed horses, which is an added interest.
