The Cart House

Cart House is a beautiully presented, single-storey barn conversion dating back to the 16th century, has stunning beams throughout, and makes an ideal retreat for couples. It is adjacent to stunning manicured grounds with the tranquil lake, pergoda and seating areas. Together with two other cottages, it is peacefully located within the grounds of a stud farm where the main barn dates back to 1578, and is one of the oldest barns in Sussex. They are surrounded by 130 acres of pasture and ancient oak forests on the border of Surrey and Sussex with public footpaths from the door.

This cottage has a lot to recommend it and it’s in a beautiful setting. However, the kitchen was poorly equipped if you want to eat in after a long day exploring the lovely area
